FOURTEENTH EUROPEAN MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY 2023

Month of Photography this year invite all artists, photographers and curators to send their proposals for exhibitions or other events related to photography for the 2023 edition. Our sincere desire was to include interesting solo, group exhibitions or other events during at the festival, in this year’s open-ended edition. We received enough good projects for exhibitions and events and we implement the best ones. Our goal, as in the years ago, is to present several Bulgarian authors plus those of an international character. And we have the pleasure to announce that this is a fact with our programme with 20 events.

Month of Photography was held for the fourteenth consecutive year by the Academy of Photography Bulgaria – Yanka Kyurkchieva, a non-profit organization established in 1999. The association was established to promote and preserve the art of photography in Bulgaria and abroad. The mission of the festival is to provide a stage for photographic events, to promote Bulgarian photography, to encourage young talents to present their work, to show works by established authors to the general public, to engage practicing photo professionals and audiences in dialogue about the media, its past, present and future.

We thank all the participants in the previous editions of the festival, as well as our partners, without whom the successfully realized 13 editions would not have been possible.

The festival is realized with the financial support of the National Fund “Culture”
